Large Anglo-Saxon Inlaid Zoomorphic Strap-End. Circa 7th-8th century CE. Copper-alloy, 14.18g. 56 mm. A long tappering body terminating with a stylised animal head. Detailed with a lozenge-shaped panel of niello and silver coils between the eyes and ears. The upper body has two rectangular panels decorated with niello and silver wire scroll work.
